New Year, New Alysa Lovely?

Here I am, half in the bag on New Year's Eve.  One of the very first pictures taken of me in 2012.

Probably on the 4th or 5th, I came here and I started writing an entry, only to not finish it and then not come back for several weeks. I always see other people with their blogs, and their followings, and I'm like "I really want that, that looks like it would be fun!"  But then, at the same time, I'm thinking that I don't want to broadcast all of my thoughts all over the internet.  However, I do that on a regular basis on twitter (follow me if you want, I like new followers!) so how much better would it be to be able to do that in MORE than 140 characters?!  MUCH!

Anyway, for me 2012 is going to bring in a lot of changes!  I'm not really one for the whole "new year, new me" thing (title of this entry aside) but a lot of things are going to be different for me this year.  I'm going to have a lot of new experiences, and maybe some other people will be making those same changes and my blog could be a good thing for them to relate to.

The first thing, and the most major thing, is that I'm getting married.  I'm engaged and I'm getting married to the love of my life in May of this year.  I am SO excited! This is going to be amazing and I can't wait!  But there are LOTS of changes that go along with that.  Like, we're going to be combining EVERYTHING. We're going to be sharing space and sleeping in the same bed, which we've never really done before (aside from the occasional nap, which I don't think really counts :p).  It's going to be different and exciting and new! I just can't wait!

Another big change that is happening is going to be happening a lot sooner.  I'm getting baptized on February 5th.  I'm excited, I'm nervous, but I think that I am ready to make this step and to fully commit myself and my life to following Jesus, tbh.  Scratch that, I know that I am ready. I am working on a full testimony, and I will probably post both what I say in front of my church and the entire one here.  It's going to be a change, that's for sure!  But a good one, that I can't wait for.

So that's me.  Trying to start blogging again, making some big decisions and changes in my life in 2012.  I don't know what this blog will look like.  I still like posting pictures of my clothing choices, but I think that this blog is going to be about more than that.  If you'd like to see where this goes, awesome!
